Fibre To The Premises Now Avaliable
From 31st October 2011 “if” your exchange is Ashford, Bradwell Abbey, Chester South, Highams Park, St Austell or York you will be able to order BT’s “Fibre To The Premises” service. FTTP enabled exchange areas serve nearly 60,000 homes and businesses and, with very fast download speeds of 110Mb/s, and upload speeds of 30Mb/s. FTTP connections run from the exchange direct to the customer’s premises offering guaranteed speeds and increased reliability as well as reducing the occurrence of electrical interference. GEA-FTTP offers a future proof service with even faster speeds expected in 2012 and technology capability of up to 1GB/s in the future.
