Radio DNS Is Launched

Radio DNS, the technical collaboration between the BBC, commercial radio and hundreds of broadcasters worldwide, has gone live on the BBC national stations. The service, which has been under development within the BBC for the last two years, allows “connected” radio sets to display meta (i.e. now playing) data from the internet whilst picking up an FM signal. Radio DNS joins the two signals together to offer listeners the best of both worlds.  In addition, RadioVIS is live on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra showing enhanced data such as images, live text and data.
